Careers Events Weeks

As part of the school's careers and study guidance programme, a series of events took place between 19 and 28 February 2024 to introduce pupils and their parents/guardians to the various options for the next steps after graduating from the DSL.

The series of events kicked off on 19 February with the ‘Careers Fair’, where students and parents had the opportunity to talk to representatives from British universities, the DAAD, employers and DSL alumni.
Experts from various professional backgrounds were available to the pupils for "Career Insight Talks" and there was a presentation by a careers counsellor from the Federal Employment Agency on the topic of ‘Pathways after leaving school - overview of training and studying in Germany’.

On the following days, further group events were held for the pupils (e.g. on gap years, specific degree programmes such as medicine, dual study programmes in Germany, UCAS applications and the German university system) and pupils took part in individual consultation sessions with experts from the Federal Employment Agency.
