Axel Scheffler reads to the DSL Kinderhaus children

Our preschoolers at the DSL Kinderhaus had the pleasure of a very special visit: on 30 September, the world-famous and beloved children's book illustrator Axel Scheffler visited the preschool classes and introduced the new book ‘Jonty Gentoo – The Adventures of a Penguin’. Once again, the texts were contributed by Julia Donaldson. The children listened intently, asked interested questions and were delighted that the reading was not over before Axel Scheffler had also read ‘The Smeds and the Smoos’ (this book was read in English, as it befits our bilingual Kinderhaus) and the German version of ‘The Gruffalo’. Children and teachers alike enjoyed the visit very much. Thank you, Axel Scheffler!
